We Say: Replacing the Mizuno Maverick, the debut Elixir features Smoothride midsole material for an enhanced heel-to-toe transition. The shoe's dual-density Wave plate is softer on the lateral (outer) side for better cushioning, and firmer on the medial (inner) side for more stability. The outsole features durable carbon rubber in the heel for durability and inside edge of the forefoot for added stability. Recommended for efficient runners with normal arch profiles looking for a relatively stable shoe for fast training or races.
