We say: Though the Landreth II is designed on the same platform as Asics's GT-2090, it lacks a second density of foam on the medial (inner) side, so don't expect the same support. The main updates to the Landreth II: the addition of Asics's touch GEL in the heel and twist GEL in the forefoot, both of which will improve cushioning. Recommended for runners with normal to high arches who like the feel of a performance trainer but need a bit more impact protection.
Wear-testers say: "I liked the light weight and fit of the shoe, but it needed more stability."-Robert Reingruber, 35, Allentown
"To me it had just the right balance of stability and cushioning without being too heavy."-Aaron Usher, 26, East Lansing

I have run two marathons in these shoes and find that they do the job. They are comfortable and stylish, and hold up really well..
