The biggest is a new cooling system (HVAC) that uses silver fiber to move heat away from the foot. There's also new mesh material in the upper and more support in the arch for a better fit and feel. Our Shoe Lab tests showed the Trance to be as flexible as many performance-training shoes, yet it still delivers plenty of support and impact protection. Recommended for low-arch runners who need support but still want a flexible ride.
