We Say: The softest shoe in the neutral-cushioned category, the updated Volare features dual springs in the rearfoot to reduce impact shock. A new support bridge under the midfoot enhances the shoe's stability, and the upper is more comfortable thanks to fewer overlays and new stretch panels on both sides. Recommended for normal-arch runners looking for a shoe with maximum heel and forefoot cushioning that should retain its durability.
Wear-Testers Say: "The shoe had a marshmallow-like feel to it but still felt supportive." -Eric Stuber, 41, East Lansing
"These shoes felt like they were custom-made for my feet. They hugged my midfoot and provided a nice combination of cushioning and support." -Catherine Akridge, 52, Allentown

I went to this shoe because I found the technology (springs reducing recoil) interesting. Shoe feels a little heavy; did not notice the promised reduced muscle fatigue...jury is still out..
