Runner's World Awards: Best Update

We Say: This update is softer and more flexible than the previous version, and it's an ounce lighter. Spira's patented WaveSpring technology in the heel and forefoot makes the shoe more durable, because the cushioning comes from the spring, not just foam. The Genesis owes its improved flexibility to a lightweight creased plate that sits on top of the forefoot and flexes with the foot. Spira removed many of the overlays for a more comfortable fit. Recommended for runners with normal arches who are looking for a durable training shoe.

Wear Tester Reviews

Wear-Testers Say: "These shoes fit like a glove. My only suggestion is to improve the forefoot flexibility." -Pat Smith, 51, East Lansing

"The shoe was very comfortable to wear. It would be a great shoe if it were a bit more flexible." -Mark Gerber, 39, Allentown
