We Say: Talk about a deal. A lightweight shoe that still offers great support and protection--and all for 85 bucks. The Axiom, a new shoe for Brooks, is quite flexible in the forefoot and is responsive at toe-off. Then there's the heel. It's firm but forgiving, thanks to ridges in the cushioning foam of the midsole that help absorb shock. Brooks' Universal Platform is slightly curved, so the shoe fits snug in the heel and wraps the arch well.

The heel fits perfectly, there is no slipping. The toe area is roomy, yet supportive, and the arch supports my high arches well. Hands down the best running shoe I have had so far!!.
