We Say: The Vital+ is a no-frills shoe that offers a good fit. If you're blister-prone, the upper is completely seamless, which may give you some relief. Added bonus: The colors Pearl uses on their uppers look great with jeans.
Lab Reports: The Push+ midsole's GelShock2 inserts produce firm cushioning in the heel and forefoot. The extended arch support column enhances stability and reduces pronation. A drawback to the added support: relatively low responsiveness.
Recommended For: Lightweight, normal-arch runners who are willing to give up some responsiveness for the protection of a stability shoe

Wear-testers Say: "I really liked the ankle stability of this shoe, but the lacing system is a bit cumbersome." --Eric Lennane, San Diego
"Definitely a light, stylish shoe with great colors. They fit my foot well and felt responsive on the road, but on grass and hard-packed trails, the ride was not as good--it was more jarring." --Kim McDonald, San Diego
