Runner's World Shoe Lab Test Results
Teva takes the idea of a snug fit to a whole new level. The Wrapter features two independent nylon bands that wrap around the top of the foot and through the midsole. This system pulls the shoe tight around the midfoot and heel. Our testers gave this design mixed reviews. Some liked the tight fit, while others felt it was hard to adjust. Most of the testers liked the shoe's superbreathable waterproof upper and its sticky rubber outsole, however. Recommended for runners with normal arches looking for a tight midfoot fit.
Wear Tester Reviews
"The waterproof upper is excellent, but the lacing and strap tool take some getting used to."--Robert Dorner, 36, East Lansing

"This was a decent hybrid trail shoe with traction shortcomings." Dillon McCormick, 47, East Lansing

"The lacing system was awkward and very uncomfortable." Sharon Becker, 36, East Lansing

"The shoes were okay for trail runs on dirt and grass. The traction was terrific, but the fit/flexibility was all wrong. The shoes were terrible on snow/ice trail runs." Annie Marrin, 22, East Lansing

"Not very comfortable, but waterproof and good thick treads for good traction." Devin Mongrain, 19, East Lansing
