The Rider has the same new heel design we saw in the Inspire 4. A stretchy panel in the rearfoot makes the upper less likely to lose its shape at footstrike, which improves the shoe's heel fit. Deep forefoot flex grooves make this the second most flexible shoe in the guide, and a new sockliner that's dimpled under the heel and forefoot yields a softer feel underfoot. Recommended for runners with high arches seeking a lightweight and flexible shoe.
Wear Tester Reviews
"This is a superb shoe for long runs." --Lauren Garges, 33, Allentown

"Great overall fit; the upper part of the shoe was really comfortable around the ankle." --Lance Blaskowski, 25, San Diego

"My forefoot feels a little lose in them. When I go around a turn the traction on the shoes is fine, but my foot is so lose it slips around inside the shoe and I feel like I'm going to slip. I think an improvement in the lacing system would help with this." --Daniel James Gonia, 19, East Lansing

"The shoe is light and flexible while giving sturdy support and sufficient cushioning." --Gina Deily, 23, Allentown

"I've worn several brands of shoes that have given me blisters and knee pain, but that didn't happen with these shoes." --Lynn Hurd, 39, Allentown

"This shoe is definitely for someone who likes to run in a very sturdy, stiff shoe." --Jill Cortiglia, 27, Allentown

This shoe saved me from having to have foot surgery. I have been wearing this model since the Wave Rider 9 , which I thought was the best model released. The Wave rider 10 felt stiff and unresponsive but the Wave Rider 11 is a comfortable shoe and close to the the 9 in responsiveness and comfort. You may not be able to get 400 miles (250 most likely) but you cannot beat this shoe. I highly recommend..

Completely worthless shoe. I try to get at least 400 miles off a pair of shoes and this shoe could not even get close to 250 miles. I do have to admit the shoe is lightweight and great for those long runs but other then that I would not waste your hard earned cash if your like me who tries to get maximum milelage off a pair of shoes. My feet got very hot after about 4 miles as well. I am sticking with Brooks since I have had great success with that brand..

I enjoy my foot not being near as hot as in other shoes. Also, the top of my foot is never pinched with its low top. But, I can see if someone has a narrow forefoot these would be a problem. The only downfall is the need for an arch support with super high arches like I do, but this is very common. .
