According to our lab tests, the MC2 is both firm and pliable, which is what a women's motion-control shoe should be. Women need the extra flexibility since they're generally lighter than men. The heel is reinforced with plastic that runs into the arch and works with the firm foam on the inner edge of the midsole to control overpronation. With a carbon-rubber outsole and a heel crash pad made from rubber-infused foam, the shoe is built to handle a lot of miles. Recommended for women with flat arches who need a durable everyday trainer.
"They fit like a glove with plenty of cushioning." ---Nicole Edwards, 22, East Lansing
"The shoe gave me good support." --Jessica Kenyon, 25, San Diego
"Felt more like a workout/gym/cross trainer shoe than running but was surprisingly light enough for running." Jessica Kenyon, 36, San Diego
"I was skeptical about Ryka shoes because they were for women only, but I tried them and thought they were fantastic. Great breathability, stability and comfort. I will buy these again." Sara Ratliff, 30, San Diego

I am a small female over-pronator, the supposed target market for these shoes, and they did not work for me. They did nothing to control my over-pronation and running in them caused knee and back pain. Test before you buy! .
