Runner's World Shoe Lab Test Results

We Say: The latest Moto comes with a new last and a semirigid sockliner--the same one found in the Triax and Pegasus 2006--that comfortably cradles the foot. What's more, the rearfoot curves up slightly over the back of the foot to better lock the heel in place. Even though Nike added a durable section of foam in the heel for improved cushioning, the Moto is still firm, according to our RW Shoe Lab tests. We recommend it for runners with high arches who need a durable everyday trainer.

Wear Tester Reviews

Wear-testers Say: "This shoe fit my wide feet without me having to go up a size."--Jim Quaglio, 40, Allentown

"I'm a heavy heel-striker, and this shoe really helped lessen the impact."--Mark Hauswirth, 26, East Lansing

very comfortable, fits my wide feet perfectly. My only complaint is that they wear out to quickly. I have less than 100 miles on them and the outside of both heels are worn out. Is this normal?.

This is the best running shoe I have ever experienced. The Moto absorbs the impact of various surfaces from concrete to stone roads. I have always avoided nike running shoes, not now. I have 250 miles on these shoes and they feel as good as they did at 5 miles. I appreciate the wide toe box. I will soon be buying another pair. I hope Nike does change them soon..

Former Asics runner. Switched because Nimbus 8 sucked. This Nike shoe felt comfortable out of the box, but never broke in... In my opinion, it got harder as time went along. Only redeeming quality is that I was able to get some good miles out of them. However, I would not buy again. .

Very cushioned in the toe. Good ride all the way, little less stability than comparable modles..
