Runner's World Shoe Lab Test Results

We Say: A great update, the Alchemy is built on a roomier new last and slightly wider midsole for better support. Mizuno also redesigned the lacing pattern for a more customizable fit, and the outsole under the heel to better manage impact. The only disappointing news: a $10 price increase. This is due in part to the new durable foam that surounds the Alchemy's Wave plate. We recommend the Alchemy for average-weight runners with normal arches looking for a stable, everyday training shoe.

I like these shoes. I am a Clydesdale Class runner (210 lbs). It was amazing the way that these shoes hold my foot firmly, preventing me from my usual over-pronation. Exteremely comfortable with no break in period. The only con is that the lace eyelets place themselves over the top of my right foot, so I have to put them on and lace them just right. Aside from this minor flaw, I am so glad that I purchased these shoes! .

I love this shoe! Great right out of the box, no breaking-in period, brilliant. I would never have gone to Mizuno had I not gone for a fitting at my local running shop. Tried a couple different pairs/brands and these were like a glove. Cups my hells and just an overall great fit. .
