We Say: Our wear-testers appreciated the improved fit of the Control, which, like the new AdiFusion, is built on a wider last that accommodates more foot types. The upper overlays are now welded, not stitched, reducing irritation and blister risk. The shoe also features a thicker sockliner that provides a more customized feel and a softer heel, according to lab tests. Adidas lengthened the stability device along the inner edge of the midsole to improve support. Recommended for runners with low arches who need a durable, everyday trainer.

These shoes are excellent for flat footed people. For the 2008 LA Marathon, I tried several running shoes, but because I am flat footed, my "arches" were always sore and swollen. Adidas Supernova Control 10 has a wide arch area that is cushioned. This cradles the arches and acts as a shock absorber for the the feet..
