We Say: The latest Trigon uses Saucony's new ProGrid cushioning system under the heel to provide a softer landing. This system helps make the shoe nearly an ounce lighter than its predecessor. To enhance the support in the shoe's upper, Saucony added an overlay to the heel that works with a firmer midsole post for improved pronation control. On the outsole, a new pattern gives the Guide better traction. Recommended for normal-arch runners looking for a dependable, everyday trainer.
Wear-Testers Say: "Overall a great shoe, though it needs more cushioning in the forefoot."--Kurt Sperry, 24, East Lansing
"It took a few runs to break in, but these shoes gave me plenty of lateral support."--Bea Espinola, 39, San Diego
