WE SAY: The Elite is slightly narrower in the heel and forefoot than its predecessor, for a sleeker, more snug, race-like feel. The cushioned area in the heel has been extended into the midfoot to accommodate racers who tend to land farther forward when they run fast. As with the Triax, the Elite features a more supportive sockliner. We recommend the Elite for efficient runners as an everyday trainer, or as a racing shoe for runners with normal arches.

on my 3rd pair! lightweight with excellent cushioning still nd i have used it for everyday training for 5 months with no injuries a shoe could prevent. It only offers mild support but is much better than a neutral shoe and any more arch support would increase its weight. It does tend to loose cushioning early (around 300 miles) so buy a a couple and kep one for races and one for training! .

I am a small guy, and most of the shoes I have had in the past have not had great cushioning. This shoe is well cushioned and very light, but the arch support could be improved a bit..
