WE SAY: This update features a better fit than the original introduced two years ago. It includes flexible bands that run from the laces down to the midsole to give it a snug midfoot wrap. The SynchroFloat also comes with Pearl's trademark seamless bootie upper, which enhances comfort and guards against blisters. Our lab tests showed the SynchroFloat to be the second-firmest shoe in this guide and the firmest in the neutral-cushioned category. Therefore, we recommend it for bigger runners with high arches.
WEAR-TESTERS SAY: "Excellent breathability and comfort, but needs to be softer."--Forrest Fredline, 27, East Lansing
"With its limited forefoot cushioning, this shoe is better for trail running."--Todd Fach, 40, Allentown

The seamless bootie is very comfortable. I have been wearing them for about one month now and they are fairly light, but the forefoot is not soft enough for me since my forefoot takes much of the shock when I run..
