WE SAY: This update is built on Nike's latest women's-specific last (narrower in the heel, wider in the forefoot). The shoe features a more supportive sockliner than the earlier version, and Nike beveled the heel to help slow the rate of pronation and better handle a woman's heel-strike. Additional grooves in the forefoot make this shoe more flexible than its male counterpart, according to our lab tests. We recommend it for women with normal to low arches looking for a gender-specific fit.

Wear Tester Reviews

WEAR-TESTERS SAY: "It's wide enough in the midfoot, with good support."--Mary Ann Redman, 57, East Lansing

"Good fit. I liked that it wasn't as narrow as previous versions."--Kristie Fach, 29, Allentown

While I love how much room these shoes have in the forefoot area and also how light weight they are, I have to wrap my arch with sports tape before wearing on any run over 4 miles. I tend to get huge blisters from the seam that runs along the inside of the shoe. These shoes are also very suitable to wear on gravel/dirt trails as well as pavement. I would say that this is the perfect shoe except for the blisters that form because of the darn seam inside!.

This is a great shoe. I wore it into the ground, and it never gave me problems..

Among the worst shoes I ever bought. Initially they were very comfortable. However, in a short while major blister problems showed on the toes that could not be resolved. Also led to MCL knee injury that put me out for a month and half. .

I have trouble finding shoes. The narrow heel and wide forefront on this shoe is fantastic! I should have purchsed 2 pair..
