WE SAY: This outstanding update features a soft new five-millimeter layer of rubber that runs atop the Air midsole for improved cushioning. The Triax also sports the same semirigid sockliner found in the Nike Pegasus. This liner comfortably cradles the foot. Nike beveled the midsole in the outer part of the heel, which causes you to land more to the outside, reducing the rate and degree of pronation. We recommend this shoe for runners with normal arches looking for a stable training shoe.
WEAR-TESTERS SAY: "I liked the cushioning and support, but they seemed heavy."--Chris Sprank, 34, East Lansing
"They provided excellent stability even for a bigger runner like me."--Edgar Gutierrez, 21, San Diego

When visiting the Boulder Running Company in Boulder, CO (non-compensated plug, but they know their stuff!) they videotaped my stride and recommended 4 different shoes, and this was one of them. I tried all fo them and this one was simply the best. I have had problems with my knees and IT band, and rarely have any issues now that I am in these shoes.
GREAT shoe for a very reasonable price..

I had been running in the Asics Kayano for 4 years and had recently found that, after spending more time running and developing as a runner, they were no longer what I wanted. I overpronate and I searched around for a couple of months and was told to try these. They seemed a little stiff and heavy the first couple of times I wore them but now feel great and I am running with less and less pain the more I run with them.

I too love this shoe, had many issues with over pronating and always had a hard time trying to find the "right" shoe for me, well HERE IT IS!!!.
