Runner's World Shoe Lab Test Results

WE SAY: The latest Nirvana is built on a new last (foot form) that is roomier in the arch and forefoot and snug in the heel, so the shoe will accommodate a wider range of foot types. Mizuno also redesigned the arch-side support columns just below the Wave plates for better stability and durability. Our lab tests showed the Nirvana to be slightly more flexible than its predecessor, which will help lightweight runners. We recommend this shoe for runners with normal arches looking for a durable trainer with a great fit.

Great looking shoe, but did 6 miles the first day, was not impressed, to stiff, no cousioning at all. Ran 7 miles the next day, my knees are killing me. I am 180lbs and I thought I needed the stability-plus, I now know what the plus means. I am returning them..

My pair serviced me in the best way. I had been suffering from shin splints with a different pair of shoes and when I got my pair of Mizunos, the shin splints went away after a couple of weeks. Great shoe..

Nice smooth shoe. Very good comfort low heel that does not irritate the achilles. Shifting to this shoe made all my achilles-problems dissapear :-) .

I love these things! Super-smooth heel-toe transition, and plenty of cushioning. These leave me feeling great even after 90+ minute runs, and they have enough stability for moderate trail running. .

Very light and comfortable shoe. I like it very much. The only issue I have with it, is that it could be a bit wider in the forefoot..
