Runner's World Shoe Lab Test Results

We say: The Phylas is the firmest shoe in the guide. This update features the same midsole unit as past versions, including a plastic reinforced support device on the medial (arch) side of the shoe for heightened stability. It comes with a new, more breathable mesh upper. There's also additional protective padding in the ankle collar for enhanced softness and an improved fit. We recommend it for larger runners with flat feet who need plenty of motion control.

Wear Tester Reviews

Wear-testers say: "They were stylish and provided adequate support, but there wasn't enough room for orthotics."--Brad Smit, 27, East Lansing

"Good cushioning, but the tongue is uncomfortable."--Bryan Eadie, 26, East Lansing
