Nike Shox Swift
Manufacturer: Nike
Price: $110
Reviewed in: Nov 2006 Shoe Guide
We say: The new Swift is an update of the Shox 2:40. At 11.3 ounces, it's Nike's lightest Shox shoe ever. RW Shoe Lab tests showed it to be one of the most flexible shoes in this guide. The Shox columns attach to a redesigned, flexible-plastic cradle that delivers a better heel-to-toe transition than previous Shox shoes. Nike added foam to the tongue and the ankle collar to give the shoe a more customized fit and a snug feel. Recommended for runners with high arches who want a fast, lightweight shoe.
Wear-testers say: "I love these shoes for speedwork, but the laces are too short."--Kate Desiderio, 27, Allentown
"A good shoe for fast running, but it's a bit narrow for regular training."--Sam Underwood, 58, East Lansing
