A new release that receives high marks from the RW Shoe Lab, from wear-testers and from RW editors. While as-yet unproven over the long haul, the shoe represents a promising new addition to its category.

Runner's World Awards: Best Debut

We say: This debut offers a great combination of light weight and stability, thanks to the midsole's cantilever design, which is wider at the base and narrower at the top. To further bolster stability, Avia added a plastic transition bridge that runs from the arch to the heel. The Avi-Trainer is one of the softest shoes in this guide and also one of the most flexible; therefore, we recommend it for runners with normal arches or lower arched runners looking for a shoe for racing or to work out in.

Wear Tester Reviews
