We say: Our Shoe Lab tests showed that the updated 1120 is softer underfoot than previous versions. This can be attributed to a new layer of foam under the sockliner that improves the shoe's feel right out of the box. Asics reinforced the 1120's midfoot bridge to better control overpronation. The upper uses a mesh panel near the base of the big toe to accommodate a wider range of foot widths. Recommended for normal-arched runners looking for a comfortable trainer or for runners with low arches who want a race-day shoe.
Wear-testers say: "Great cushioning, outstanding for long runs." --Ronald Izewski, 49, Allentown
"A very stable shoe on and off road." --George Tubon, 39, San Diego

Best Asics yet. I have owned 2100-2120 and 1100-1120, and I prefer the 1100 series. In comparison to the 2120, the 1120 feels lighter, allows for more road feel, and is less expensive. Pocket the extra cash for the 2120 and buy the 1120..

Excellent shoe. I have a very wide foot (4E) and this shoe works very well..

This is by far the best update version of a good shoe. If you run on roads or sidewalks, this shoe will take you over hard surfaces safely..

Good feel right out of the box. It seems to be a little wider than the usual ASICS, my foot slides around to much, but still feels good..
