Returning to the Series this year is the HRCA Splash-Mash-Dash Triathlon on August 9th. This multi sport race starts with a unique 800-yard indoor/outdoor swim at the Recreation Center at Northridge, followed by a 13 mile bike ride through the streets of Highlands Ranch, and culminates in a 3.5 mile run through a challenging, cross-country type network of trails. Because the number one violent crime in Douglas County is domestic violence, this event raises money for The Womens Crisis and Family Outreach Center.
