HORIZON T6 AFG TREADMILL

A treadmill for the runner who loves to log their miles and stats

By Megan McMorris
Photographs by Charlie Layton

PUBLISHED 12/11/2006

We say: Part treadmill and part training log, the T6 stores stats such as distance, incline, calories, and average pace for two users, along with weekly, monthly, and lifetime mileage totals for up to 100 workouts. We like how straightforward the console's single programming button makes creating an intricate custom workout. It also has two heart-rate programs that can substitute a user-selected pulse for the heart-rate training zones that are usually derived from your age and weight. This lets a runner target a specific training zone. The orthopedic belt provides a cushy landing--perfect for runners concerned with overuse injuries.
Our tester says: "Great display and access to speed and incline, but the belt tends to be a little bouncy." --Suzanne Thomashow, 46
